Case Study: Growing Ezoic’s Affiliate Program

Company Overview:

Ezoic empowers publishers, regardless of their size, to effectively monetize their website and blog traffic through display advertising. By catering to both small and large publishers, Ezoic bridges the gap and ensures that all webmasters have the opportunity to generate revenue.

My Role:

As the Affiliate Program Manager, my primary mission was clear: scale the affiliate program. The key performance metrics I eyed were the number of active affiliates, conversions, and the overall commissions paid—which indirectly pointed to the sales generated for Ezoic.

The Challenge:

Awareness: Many existing customers and publishers were unaware of Ezoic’s affiliate program.

Education: Affiliates needed to be well-informed about Ezoic’s offerings, ensuring they could promote the platform effectively.

Expansion: To ensure consistent growth, I had to hunt for new publishers who hadn’t yet tapped into Ezoic’s potential and introduce them to our affiliate program.

The Solution:

Engagement through Webinars: I took to hosting public webinars, aiming to not only raise awareness about the affiliate program but also keep our affiliates updated about the latest product features and updates from Ezoic.

Affiliate Activation Campaigns: To incentivize new affiliates, I rolled out special commission bonus structures. This added motivation often kickstarted their promotion efforts, leading to a higher rate of affiliate activity.

Diverse Outreach: In the digital age, being platform-agnostic is key. I initiated cold outreach campaigns across various platforms, including email, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and more, ensuring we tapped into potential affiliates wherever they were.

The Results:

Under my stewardship, the affiliate program witnessed exponential growth:

Over $7 million was paid out in annual commissions to affiliates.

We saw a staggering 200% growth in both affiliate numbers and sales in just under a year.
